There's a movie I've had bookmarked since very shortly after it came out subbed in 2011.
Hoshi o Ou Kodomo
I can't quite remember how I found it, and in fact I recall streaming with the movie playing once,
so I've probably talked about it before.
It's a movie that means a lot to me, because I found it at a time that I needed it.
Last weekend I went to Metrocon, and a friend and I were eating these crystal sugar candies,
which are called Konpeito and are recognizable from Spirited Away, which I hadn't watched 'til today.
While on the website's animation page, I saw a movie called The Garden of Words.
I only happened to scroll over the title, and the poster art was beautiful, so I clicked it.
( The whole movie's beautiful to watch it here: noobroom7.com/?4164
The whole time it just seemed like a movie that I needed to see,
it's sorta romantic but at the same time about learning about yourself.
And seeing as how I just missed an entire day of Metrocon to spend time with a boy,
the "romance" appealed to me, but the second soon was in play as well.
It just, spoke to me in a way only movies can.
So I looked it up, the Wiki page was nothing special, I wanted to hear all sorts of praise because,
the art is literally the best I have ever seen in an animated movie.
But nothing special. Until I got to the director.
