Orca Babyyy

This is Trua, he's not actually a baby anymore, he's about 8!

But the first time I got to go behind the scenes, he was just a wee lil babu

I got to go spend some time at SW this weekend, and ugh it was just amazing to spend some time watching the whales again. I can identify them each (with the help of the cheat sheet written on the back of that there lotto ticket), so the kids that were down there were like "Which one's that one!" and for a couple of the whales I'd turn to ask the employee and she'd let me know that she's not any better at identifying them then me.

I also got to talk some with the lady working there at that point, and she talked to me a bit about Tillikum and about how things have changed and some of the new stuff they're doing. It was just overall a good experience. 

These pictures were taken when Trua came over to where I was standing and I kept cooing his name (though, glass probs stops that prom going through) and trying to interact with him. He stayed by me for a couple of minutes, watching, and it's just a magical thing that happens when you realize how much they exist at an intellectual level.
